DESCRIPCION GENERAL DEL PARAGUAY
Estado de América del Sur, que limita al Norte con Bolivia y Brasil, al Este con Brasil y Argentina, al Sur con esta República y al Oeste con Argentina y Bolivia.
Este país está cruzado de Norte a Sur por la cordillera de Amambay, de escasa altura y que divide las cuencas de los ríos Paraguay y Paraná principales ríos del Paraguay, que se unen en una gran arteria y ponen a la República en comunicación con el mar. Los dos reciben numerosos afluentes.
El clima es tropical con veranos muy lluviosos e inviernos secos.
El suelo es muy fértil, y entre sus producciones que son ricas y variadas, sobresalen la yerba mate, el extracto de quebracho, algodón tabaco, frutas, maíz, arroz, café y productos forestales.
La ganadería es importante especialmente la de vacunos. La industria alcanza todavía poco desarrollo.
El comercio exterior, que se hace en su mayor parte por las grandes vías fluviales ya citadas, consiste principalmente en la exportación de carne, maderas, tabaco, aceite de tung y algodón.
La población del Paraguay, de raza blanca, originada en el mestizaje del elemento guaraní con el europeo, ha llegado a ser una de las más homogéneas de América.
El idioma oficial es el español y el pueblo ha conservado el guaraní.
La religión es la católica para la gran mayoría.
El gobierno es republicano democrático representativo, con una Cámara de los Diputados, un Consejo de Estado y un presidente elegido por cinco años, que ejerce el poder ejecutivo asistido del Gabinete o Consejo de ministros.
La república de Paraguay está divida en 19 departamentos y un Distrito Capital, agrupados en 2 regiones; Oriental y Occidental.
La región Oriental comprende el Distrito Ciudad de Asunción (capital , Asunción) y los departamentos de Concepción capital, Concepción); San Pedro, (capital , San Pedro); La Cordillera (capital, Cuacupé); Guiurá (capital, Villarrica); Caaguazú (capital, Coronel Oviedo); Caazapá (capital, Capazapá); Ituapúa (capital, Encarnación); Misiones (capital, San Juan Bautista); Paraguarí (capital, Paraguarí); Alto Paraná (capital, Pto. Pte. Stroessner); Central (capital, Asunción); Neembucú (capital, Pilar); Amambay (capital, Pedro Juan Caballero) y Canendiyú (capital, Salto de Guatrá).
La región Occidental agrupa los departamentos los departamentos de Presidente Hayes (capital , Pozo Colorado); Alto Paraguay (capital, Olimpo); Chaco (capital, Mayor Pablo Lagerza); Nueva Asunción (capital, Gral. Eugenio A. Garay) y Boquerón (capital, Dr. Pedro P. Peña).

Other than growing at an astonishing rate, the Global Cedar has a number of other benefits.
Its natural elements make it resistant to termites, and the lack of oils and sap found in the wood
